Premiere of Composition Competition winning motet

On Palm Sunday, 14th April 2019, Westminster Cathedral Choir gave the first performance of Barnaby Martin's new motet 'Omnes amici mei'.

Barnaby's motet was the winning piece of the inaugural Westminster Cathedral Composition Competition, held to mark the 60th anniversary of George Malcolm's legendary 1959 recording of Victoria's Tenebræ Responsories. 'Omnes amici mei' was premiered at the 10am Solemn Mass on Palm Sunday at the Offertory. Afterwards, the choristers all got Barnaby to sign their Graduales to mark the occasion.
